Privacy Policy (English)

This privacy policy applies to Wasla: Arabic Word Connect (com.prog98.word_connect) on Google Play.

1. Accounts

An anonymous account is created for you automatically the first time the app connects to our servers — a random identifier carrying no name and no email, which you never sign in to. It is created straight away because your coin balance is stored on our servers, so you do not lose it if you change device or reinstall. You may optionally link a Google account to protect your progress; Google then gives us your email address, account name, and profile picture if you have one.

To enter leaderboards or duels you choose a display name. That name is visible to other players, so don't use your full name or anything identifying unless you want to. Your account also gets a friend code, which nobody sees unless you share it.

2. What we store on our servers

We use Supabase to store data tied to your account:

Our Supabase servers are located in India (ap-south-1), so your data is transferred and processed outside your own country.

3. What stays only on your device

Campaign progress, completed levels, discovered words and your settings are stored on your device only and never reach our servers. They are permanently deleted when you uninstall the app, and are unaffected if you delete your account.

4. Blocking and reporting

You can block any player from their profile. A block stops contact in both directions, removes the friendship, and cancels any duel invitation between you — and the other person is not told. You can undo it from Account → Blocked players.

You can also report a player. We then receive your id, their id, their display name, the reason, and any note you write, used solely to review misconduct. The report is not shown to the person reported, and it is retained even if either account is later deleted — otherwise a complaint could be erased by deleting an account.

5. Deleting your account

In the app: Account → Delete account permanently. Your account and everything in section 2 is deleted immediately and permanently, with no way to undo it — including your coins, even ones you paid for, which are not refunded.

The only exception is reports other players filed about you: their link to your account is erased, but their content is kept, for the reason given in section 4.

If you cannot reach the app, email us from the address linked to your account at app.prog98@gmail.com and we will delete your account within 30 days. Progress stored on your device is unaffected either way.

6. Data collected automatically

• Google AdMob — your device's advertising ID, IP address (approximate location), and ad-interaction data, used to serve and measure ads.
• Google Analytics for Firebase — in-game usage events (e.g. level started/completed, hints used), an app-instance ID, and general device info, used to understand play and improve levels.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash logs and diagnostics, used to fix bugs quickly.

All data is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your data.

7. Ads & consent

Ads are served by Google AdMob. Where required (e.g. the EEA), a consent message appears on first launch; you can change your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & ad options inside the game, or reset/delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

8. Children

The app is suitable for a general audience, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent and believe your child created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
